Lena Weiss

Dr. Lena Weiss is a German attorney and elected member of the Bundestag, representing the CDU party. With a doctorate in law and a strong background in energy legislation and administrative sciences, she brings legal precision and policy insight to her role in national governance.

Before entering parliament in 2021, Dr. Weiss served as a legal advisor in the European Parliament and worked extensively in energy law across leading firms in Munich and Stuttgart. She also held academic roles, including a lectureship at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University and research at the Ruhr University Bochum.

In the Bundestag, she is an active member of the Committee on Climate Protection and Energy, and contributes to the Parliamentary Advisory Council on Sustainable Development. Her work focuses on shaping Germany’s energy transition, sustainability policies, and legal frameworks for environmental protection.

Outside politics, Dr. Weiss is a dedicated community member in Mühlheim an der Donau, where she serves on the local council. She is married, has three children, and enjoys skiing and playing the organ in her parish.
